Back in May, I hosted a baby boy shower for my best friend Laura! We were brainstorming themes and loved the idea of doing something a little less popular, but also seasonally appropriate. After scouring Pinterest for unique ideas, we landed on a lemon theme!

Invitations: I ended up making the invitations in Canva, but there are TONS of fun invites that go along with the lemon theme on Etsy, Minted, etc. Just Google and you’ll find a wide variety! We ended up putting “Mama’s main squeeze is on the way” on the invitation to go along with the theme.

Favors: As far as favors go, I ended up making little bottles of homemade limoncello, and found some mini lemon-scented hand sanitizers at Bath & Body works.

Balloon display (we used this as a photo backdrop, which made the pictures so cute)!

Tablescape: I wanted the table to feel super pretty, without anything being crazy expensive! I also knew I didn’t want to use real dinnerware because who wants to clean that many dishes after hosting a party?!
I found some really cute paper plates on Etsy in two different sizes and layered them. Then, I placed a napkin and a lemon on top!

*Blue glassware: rented from Aiden and Grace.

Drinks: As far as drinks go, we had a champagne cart for the non-pregnant attendees, plus several non-boozy drinks as well! We served real lemonade in a pretty beverage dispenser, plus limoncello La Croix and Limonata San Pellegrino.

Cake: Laura loves lemon cake (and selfishly, so do I- ha!), so I went to my favorite bakery (Our Cupcakery in Dublin). They made us a DELICIOUS lemon cake with buttercream frosting, and even put some dried lemons on top. Their cakes are the BEST! They also did our wedding cake.

The lemon theme would also be perfect for a spring or summer bridal shower, or even a kid’s birthday party! If you have any questions regarding links, decor, etc., just leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
