Holiday Party Attire Inspo

by | Dec 5, 2018 | Fashion

What is better than having an excuse to get super dressed up and drink champagne?! While I tend to be an anti-social butterfly that basically hibernates during the winter with some weird new hobby, I love a good holiday party. But HOT DAMN it can be hard to find something to wear.

Every year I start shopping for Peter’s company Christmas party in like June.  Okay that’s an exaggeration, but seriously sometimes it’s so hard to find something that you feel good in but also seems appropriate. Office parties can be tough because you can’t have your goods hanging out (though I’ve sure as hell seen some goods at an office party and if you feel comfortable with that, more power to you girlfriend), but let’s be real, you also want to look good and feel confident.

Below are a few different holiday trends that I’m loving. You’ll see a handful of product recommendations under each trend– feel free to click on a style you like to shop it, or use these just as inspiration for your shopping!

  1. SPARKLE- Because when else is it socially acceptable to be decked out in sequins?

2. SUITS/JUMPSUITS- Not into dresses? No problem.  A jumpsuit or pair of flattering dress pants with a dressy top or jacket can be so classy.

3. VELVET– Be careful with velvet: it can be unflattering if it’s too tight or if the fabric is cheap.  Loose fitting styles can work, or just be sure to try on before buying!

4. LBD- You can never have too many and can never go wrong.

5. LACE– Classy, elegant and never goes out of style.

6. FAUX FUR- Layer a faux fur jacket on top of your holiday look to stay warm.  No one wants to drag their puffer coat out to a dressy event!

Hope this post leaves you feeling inspired!  Let me know what you snag and CHEERS to holiday season!

Hello

I’m Elizabeth

I’m a wife, a mom of three boys, a stylist, and a not-your-typical blogger. I started this blog as a creative outlet after I left my fun-but-demanding job at an ad agency. It’s grown into such a fun, no judgment, community of women that have become virtual friends.  I am so glad you’re here!

Check these out too!
